Drag Race

I had previously taken my son to an NHRA drag race, but this was my daughter’s first experience. The night before we went to a local sporting goods store to buy her some necessary ear protection. It is absolutely necessary.
As I had previously explained to my son, I told my daughter that she does not know the meaning of the word loud. Top fuel dragsters are so loud you can not only hear it but the sound waves push you backward vibrating all of your body. There is nothing like it.
It is also not a bad idea to wear sunglasses as these vehicles run on nitromethane instead of gasoline and as my daughter can tell you it smells bad an burns when the fumes get in your eyes.
These top fuel have roughly 6000 horsepower and go from 0 to 300 miles per hour in less than four seconds.
